Figure Skating at Cool Sports
 Welcome to Cool Sports Skating Academy located in Farragut, TN. Our program is currently the only U.S. Figure Skating program in the area and the home skating rink for the Knoxville Figure Skating Club (KFSC), the first & only U.S. Figure Skating Member Club in Knoxville, TN.
The Cool Sports Skating Academy is dedicated to overseeing the growth & longevity of figure skating from the grassroots to champions. Our program starts with group classes and ends with a passion for skating. After advancing through beginner & intermediate group programs, most skaters continue their education with either advanced group classes (Bridge Program, Enhancement Classes) or private instruction...or in some cases both. Once on this path you will gain access to "freestyle sessions". These sessions are opened only to skaters participating in the Bridge Program, enhancement classes or private lessons. Wait! Before you hop on one of these sessions, there's a few things you need to know.
"Freestyle Session Rules" have been set in place for your safety and the safety of others. Before you can skate a freestyle session you will be required to learn these rules either from you Bridge Program / enhancement class instructor or your own private skating coach. It is very important that you learn the freestyle session rules and behave in a kind and courteous manner when you are skating these sessions.
Also, each skater that intends to skate a freestyle session MUST check-in at the front desk before skating and have his / her "freestyle session punch card" punched, (Cards can be purchased at the front desk) or pay the walk-on fee of $9 per session. The punch card offers discounted session rates, so it is highly recommended that you ask your skating instructor about session pricing & your skating schedule.

**Guest coaches must call ahead and speak with the Director of Figure Skating before giving private lessons at Cool Sports (this includes during public sessions). All guest coaches will be required to present a copy of their PSA, ISI or USFS Coach Liability Insurance on the day that they intend to teach.
