
Kathy Wolff-Baradakov
Kathy is an East Tennessee native who grew up to skate professionally all over the world! She brings that experience back home to help other local skaters follow their dreams. Kathy is a private coach as well as the Coordinating Director of Smoky Mountain Ice Theatre and Cool Sports Compete USA Competition Chairperson. She holds a Master Rating from the prestigious Professional Skater’s Association (PSA) in Group Instruction, as well as ratings in Moves in the Field, Free Skating, and Ice Dance.
Kathy’s skating experience includes seven years touring internationally with Disney On Ice, Royal Caribbean International Cruise Ships, and Magic On Ice as a principal and chorus skater as well as a show tour coordinator.
In Knoxville, Kathy was instrumental in helping create the Junior Skating Academy (JSA) at Cool Sports. She has also served as Assistant Skating Director (2015-2017) and Interim Skating Director (2017).
Kathy’s specialties include Free Skating, Moves in the Field, Ice Dance, Pairs, Ice Theatre, Power Skating, Synchronized Skating, Choreography and Figures, along with Off-Ice technique in Yoga/Stretch, Ballet and Spins and Jumps. She teaches all ages and levels from beginner to advanced in private and group lessons.
Kathy’s students describe her as the ultimate cheerleader who is always open to new ideas, providing encouragement and creativity on and off the ice. Many of her skaters “graduated” to tour professionally with shows such as Disney on Ice.
