Youth Hockey Programs
Learn To Play
Ages 4 to 9
The Learn to Play program is a multi-week class focused on the fundamentals of ice hockey. The NHL and the NHLPA have partnered with the Nashville Predators to provide a low-cost opportunity for kids to try hockey for the first time.
Ages 4 to 12
The PREDecessor Learn to Play program is a multi-week class focused on the fundamentals of ice hockey. PREDecessor is the next level up from Learn To Play. KAHA gladly rents out equipment to youth.

Our Mite house league program consists of two divisions. Intermediate Mite & Advanced Mite. Intermediate is designed for players 8 & under who have less than 2 years experience and Advanced is for players with 2+ years.
The league consists of full ice games and weekly skill based practices.
Ages 12U & 14U
Cool Sports is offering a PW/B combined full-ice rec league. This league will include weekly skill based practices as well as team practices along with weekend full ice games.
Cool Sports has partnered with the Knoxville Ice Bears for their winter 2021-2022 high school league. This “GAMES ONLY” league will feature high school eligible players from the Knoxville area drafted out to 4 teams who will play once a week on Monday or Thursday night. Hosted at Cool Sports.

Travel & Select Teams
Select: Cool Sports offer a select program for our Rec Leagues families who want to experience hockey outside of Knoxville, but don’t want the financial or time commitment of the full travel program.
Travel: Cool sports, in partnership with the Knoxville Amateur Hockey Association (KAHA) is the home facility for the Knoxville Jr. Ice Bears travel hockey program. The Jr. Ice Bears travel program is an experience for “AA” and “A” caliber players. KAHA & Cool Sports offer several travel teams from Squirt all the way up to U18 Midget. These travel teams run independently from the Cool Sports Rec League Programs offered in-house.
Adult Hockey Programs
Cool Sports offers a multitude of Adult Hockey leagues, ranging in skill level from beginner to advanced! Adult Rookie League
Since its creation in March of 2018, the Adult Rookie Hockey League (#ARHL) has been one of the most popular Cool Sports hockey programs. This league is open to Adults who are wanting to learn how to play or have 2 or less years experience. The league meets on Monday nights at 8:30pm and features a time of instruction, followed by a scrimmage.
Adult A League
This is our top Adult League at Cool Sports and most players in this league can handle the puck at close to top speed, have a lot of experience with the game and the tempo is significantly higher than our B/C1/C2 leagues. This division is made up of advanced to elite level players. These players may have professional (any level, including Europe), NCAA Division I or III College, Major Jr., and Tier I Junior playing experience.
Adult B League
The “B” league is one our most advanced adult leagues and is meant for advanced intermediate players over the age of 18. Players at this level have advanced skills in skating, passing, shooting, and/or positional awareness. Players at this level typically have Collegiate D3, College Club, Junior A or B or players that have at least High School hockey experience.
Adult C1 & C2 League
The adult “C” league is designed for intermediate players over 18 years of age. The league is split into two divisions, “C1” and “C2”, based on the strength of the team. This division consists of intermediate level players who may have experience playing up to the high school level and lower midget levels. Some players may have limited organized youth playing experience, but have several years of experience as a recreational adult player.
